Temple

In my hometown,there's a famous temple,which dates back to 15th century.Even though it's a holy place,it is located on the busiest street of my hometown.But from the moment you enter the temple,you feel calm and peaceful.

The temple,like many other chinese structures,faces south and the front gate is guarded by two stone lions.Entering the front hall,you'll see 4 huge sculptures made of wood,two on each side.They are the Four Heavenly King The Greate Hall is separated from the front hall with a courtyard.There are lots of trees in the courtyard,which makes the yard very pleasant.

The Greate Hall stands on a set of plinth and its roof is supported by enormous pillars.The main altar can be found there.You'll see a Buddha seated between two of his students.On the east and west sides of the wall of this Great Hall,you will see a variety of statues and paintings.

万能理由之运用篇

因为雅思口语part 2的2分钟的时间，所以要求各位candidates需要准备比较多的语料，就像我们L&S 3的课本中unit7中说的一样：in case you finish it earlier, just a little bit extra. 那我们在熟记了以上的万能理由的情况下如何再来运用它。首先我们都知道雅思的答题模式为：直接回答（观点）à 细节。 但是我们在思考题目时却可以尝试逆向思维，即首先根据题目选择可使用的万能理由，然后根据万能理由去找合适的观点，然后填上细节，即如下逆向思维3步曲：

Step1: 选理由

Step2: 配观点

Step3: 填细节

我们先以广告旧题为例：

Describe an advertisement that you remember well, you should say:

Where you saw it;

What it was about;

What it was like;

Why you remember it well.

1. 选理由

理由就对应题目中最后一个问题：为什么对它印象深刻？我们先浏览一遍上文中的万能理由，可以发现2.减压; 3.拓展视野是与我们这个主题可能会产生关联的。

2. 配观点

那我们再来思考什么样的广告减压，拓展视野。减压的广告无非是有趣味性，而拓展视野的广告会是一些带来信息的广告比如教育类广告或者公益广告。那这样我们的观点就可以成型了：有趣味的非商业广告，我们可以说保护动物保护环境也可以说招募红十字会志愿者的广告。

3. 填细节

e.g. There are quite a few reasons why I find this advertisement memorable.

Firstly (discourse marker), I can reduce my pressure by watching this advertisement. (opinion) The way how it shows its information is pretty creative and the contents are funny as well. It can help me escape my busy study life a little while and calm my nerves. (details)

Besides (discourse marker), it can broaden my horizons in some way as well. (opinion) This advertisement provides me with the current situation of panda and some useful tips of how to protect the panda’s habitats or environment. Through watching this advertisement, I could gain some knowledge on this topic. Since my major is biology, it is helpful for my study (L&S 3 unit 8). (details) 

通篇下来，我们会发现想要达到speak at length的目标其实并不是很困难，并且在词汇上也没有特别多的障碍。我们无非是做到三点：找理由，配观点，填细节。

那我们接下来再来练习一个9-12月的不用工作或者学习的一天。

Describe a time you enjoyed a free day off work or school, you should say:

Where you were;

What you did;

Who you were with;

And how you felt about it.

1. 选理由

a. offer sb emotional nourishment

我们会发现这题目里面供选择的万能理由还是挺多的，那我们选择我们最熟悉的几个然后再来找到和他相配的观点。

2. 配观点

可以提供精神滋养和交友的，可以是和小伙伴一起去看热爱歌手的演唱会或者电影首映。大家每个人都有不一样的观点，那我在这里就不多说了，我个人选择的是做社区服务。(L&S 3 unit 2)

3. 填细节

e.g. Personally, I am quite fond of the experience of being a volunteer in our community service. 

Firstly(discourse marker), it provided me with a sense of achievement(opinion). The feeling that I was able to help somebody or my action had a positive impact on somebody’s life satisfied myself(details). 

Meanwhile(discourse marker), through talking with those people or solving problems for them, I could improve my communication as well as problem-solving skills (opinion)which I believe would be useful for my work(details). 

三、雅思口语Part2解题技巧

Describe a show or a performance that you enjoyed watching. (For example, a dance or singing performance).

You should say:

What kind of performance it was

When and where you saw it

Who you saw it with

Who the performer(s) was (were)

And explain why you attended this performance/how you felt about this performance.

一看到这种题，很多同学都会想：“我没看过什么秀啊！”“我这天天复习雅思，哪有时间看表演啊？”等等。其实没关系，如果没有去现场看过什么演出，我们也可以把从电视上、网络上、甚至杂志上所看到的一次演出报道当成要阐述的主题。雅思口语Part2解题技巧有哪些？小站教育认为，在一开始头脑风暴的时候，切忌不要之针对与题卡本身来选题，要多利用身边的媒介信息来丰富自己的答题素材，从而避免在考试时无话可说。

毫无疑问，回答本道话题卡时我们应该使用动词的过去式形式，因为这是让大家描述一次看过的表演。如果同学们觉得一次观看流行音乐的演出经历会过于平常而且缺乏吸引力的话，那我们不妨把演出地点改为北京最有名的一所小规模Livehouse–MAO，演出的主题可以设计为一场摇滚乐的演出，这样从主题上会更加吸引考官，我们就不难做到让他们更加专注于我们的作答了。

The most impressive show I’m going to talk about was on 23th this August, which was a day to remember. Having known that King Lychee, a hardcore band from Hong Kong, would have a concert in a live house called MAKO, I went there with a couple of my friends to witness how crazy a hardcore scene would be like. Undoubtedly, that was the kind of hardcore concert that could be added as the most highlighted piece of news to everyone’s mini blog.

From the first second when King Lychee was on stage, all of the fans began losing their mind and I was definitely one of them. As the front man of this band, Riz, the singer, was absolutely an animal there spitting hell fire without missing a beat at all.There were catchy songs from him that the fans lapped up one after another andthey asked for encore before the band prepared to leave.

I previously had no idea what the scene was like about a hardcore show but I got it from this show. One hour of reckless abandon, head banging, circle pit and stage dive formed the recipe of letting out pressure from life that exactly ordered from the doctor. I had someone bashed me in my skull and I knew that was a wave of emotion. I was really wide-eyed to see that.
